Monday Marvel

Monday after a week long break is always the hardest.

i came into the office rather late today, not necessarily by choice, but because i had to settle some things at the bank which was due yesterday, which in turn made me inevitably slow in getting into the groove of doing something resembling constructive.

so i was surfing the net lah.

first off, i had to check my Yahoo email which i've abandoned for a week. and turned out i have 99 + unread emails - mostly from Facebook notifications. (note to self : must learn how to deactivate this feature in FB)

one of the emails which i've gotten was from Net-A-Porter, which is in essence, a site that sells a lot of designers' stuff at designers' prices. :P

i subscribed to its three-times-a-week updates in which it features What's New (from your chosen designers) on that particular day. i know it's excessive but the site only allows us to choose that thrice a week option. which i don't really mind as i like the updates. it's like window shopping from the comforts of your seat. or bed. or anything else that doesn't involve physically walking to the shops. (boy... i'm soooo literal, aren't i?)

although it's not that i've been purchasing anything of late. the last buy was way back in 2009 when the bag craze started.

so one of the items being featured was this pair of shoes by Miu Miu. it's so horrendously ugly in my not-so-humble opinion. so hideously rare that i've to share it here.

don't get me wrong. i adoreeeeeee Miu Miu. well, their bags are superbly perennial. but the latest featured shoes are indecisive that they are neither boots nor strappy heels. Miu Miu should just make them into two separate pairs of wearable shoes. it's like mishmashing a pair of pants with.... a maxi skirt. with one of the items sparkly in nature.

mind you,  i bet some of the fashionistas out there will disagree with me.

here're the pictures which i've liberally taken from the site. tell me what you think.

love or loathe?

PS: on hindsight, these shoes would certainly go well with a pair of baju kurung/kebaya/kebarung for this festive Hari Raya. :D
